Japanese Land of the Rising Sun
This Japan vintage historical design – Japanese Land of the Rising Sun flag – has a distinct grunge distressed look. The design is modeled after WWII Japanese Navy vessel flags in the 1940’s era. It was used as the war flag of the Imperial Japanese Army and the ensign of the Imperial Japanese Navy until the end of World War II. It is also presently the war flag of the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force and the ensign of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force. It is also waved during the Japanese New Year and in sporting events. The design is incorporated into the flag of the Japanese newspaper Asahi Shimbun as well as banners called Tairyō-ki Tairyo-ki (Good Catch Flag) flown by fishermen. This professional design was created by one of Funny Graphic T-Shirts best veteran T-Shirt designers and looks good on any shirt, sweatshirt, baby doll, women’s, mens, youth, petite or any last minute gift idea!
